Emma Moon

She/her

Emma is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist with a full registration with Speech Pathology Australia. She completed her Bachelors of Speech Pathology from Flinders University in 2020.

Emma is an auADHDer who believes in using a strengths based, trauma-sensitive, family and child centred approach to working with children. Emma is passionate about advocating for  the implementation of respectful and neurodiversity affirming approaches for all the children she works with.

My Story

Emma has completed the following continuing education workshops/trainings:

  • Zones of Regulation - social emotional learning framework and pathway to regulation

  • LAMP Words for Life Training

 

Emma's special interest areas include:

  • Speech Sound Delay/Disorders 

  • Language Delay/Disorders

  • Augmentative & Alternative Communication (AAC)

  • Fluency

  • Neurodiversity-affirming approaches around self-advocacy and differences between neurodiverse-neurotypical social communication styles

Emma has an impressive collection of plants and is an avid gardener. She spends time educating others about Speech Pathology and sharing her experiences as a Speech Pathologist via her Instagram platform.
